Some freeview recorders will record to a DVD as well as to the hard-drive. Does this mean that they will also play my DVDs? I don’t seem to be able to find this information anywhere.
Hi Lynda…. yes, all the models that will record will also play.
If you are not too fussed about the recording to DVD aspect, there are also some, like the LG HR400 that will play Blu Ray DVDs too. (Although you need an HD TV to see the full glory of BluRay, which is High Def DVD).
Hope this helps
HI
I’m looking to get a freeview recorder, but i need one that records subtitles as I am deaf. Is there any freeview recorder that records subtitles as websites never answers my questions.
Same here i need dvd recorder that will record subtitles as i too am deaf.
I live in Belgium and have a terestrial line TV connection, which delivers BBC1 and BBC 2 along with lots of other channels. If I purchase a freeview box in the U.K. and connect it to my T.V. in Belgium, will this function ?.
i just want a freeview box that will record programs that i miss because i go to bed early. I start work every day at 0630 so cant stay up after 21-00 and that is when you get good programs, got any sugestions on what box to buy
Helen…. if you aren’t bothered about Freeview HD, and just want something reliable, you can’t do much better than the Humax PVR9150T http://www.freeviewrecorder.org.uk/humax-pvr9150t-freeview-recorder/
If you want to embrace Freeview HD (which if it isn;t already available in your area, it will be within the next 12 months) then go for the Humax HDR Fox T2 http://www.freeviewrecorder.org.uk/humax-hdr-fox-t2-freeview-hd-recorder/
Hello, did any one get an answer on the question of a Freeview box that records including subtitles for hard of hearing & deaf users.
I am told there is a Blue Ray unit but it is out of our league at over £500.00 !!
Thanks
Bob
Hi Bob, I have a Humax PVR9150T Freeview Recorder and that records programmes with subtitles too.
Take a look at the review on this site and use the Price Comparison tool to find the cheapest price.
